We research the best resort destinations. We book the accommodation. We get together a nice group of people to go on holiday with. If you are single, we can find someone for you to share a room with. We offer the chance to take part in enjoyable travel experiences with good company!

We don't sell flights ourselves. We will research and suggest a suitable flight and you book that direct with the travel agent, or get your own flight if you prefer. This saves everyone money and offers flexibility to suit you.

Holidays are relaxed and informal, with lots of fun and memorable places to experience! It's all made very easy for you to enjoy!

Payment for holidays is currently by cash, cheque, or bank transfer. We are in negotiations to be able to take debit and credit cards, and hope to be able to make an announcement here shortly.

Since we first started our socialising organisation, all the way back in 1997, the concept has always been for a group of people to come together to go on holiday with us and enjoy something special. Arriving as strangers, sharing a holiday adventure, and leaving as friends!

Social Group Holidays feature destinations all over the world and are open to anyone. You don't have to be a member of The Social Group socialising organisation. Everyone is made welcome. Singles, couples, groups of friends, family members, and work colleagues. You don't need to know us before you book. At it's core, this is a "group of people to go on holiday with".

Social Group Holidays are also ideal for people who have not gone on a foreign holiday before and are feeling a bit unsure about airports, flying, foreign food, foreign customs, safety concerns, how it all works, and what to see and do. Naturally, if you are on your own and have never been abroad before, the whole process can be very daunting. We can make it easy! Come with us and we'll look after you, show you the ropes, and make sure you have every opportunity to have a great time and a wonderful first travel experience!

We research the resort destinations, we advertise the holidays, we get together people to take part, we book the hotels, we advise on the best things to see and do, we help sort out the social side of things, we give lots of help and advice, and we look after you, as your friends!

BOOKING MADE EASY

Social Group Holidays does all the hard work for you. Our featured holidays are not just picked out of a brochure and we don’t just send people to places that we have no idea if they are any good or not. We do the research to find the best holiday resort destinations - often going to all the trouble to go to look at them first in person to make sure they are of a good standard.

Everything is checked out very carefully. With Social Group Holidays, you know you are in good hands!

It's very easy to book. Payments for holidays can be made by cheque, postal order, or internet bank transfer.

Social Group Holidays Director Cathy Haglington worked for Lloyds TSB Bank for 22 years, so can advise.

On all our holidays we offer the option of a low cost deposit to reserve your place. Monthly payment plans may also be available, so long as you book well in advance.

Our prices cover the cost of putting the holidays together, doing all the research, promoting the holidays and getting a group of participants together, and sorting out the itineraries and all the admin.

We don't sell packages involving flights. To comply with the U.K. Government’s chosen interpretation of European Union Travel Regulations, it has become prohibitively expensive to set up to sell flights direct, so we don't do that. Where flights are necessary, that part of the holiday is booked separately. To keep costs down, we do not sell flights ourselves.

Usually people all fly out together on the same flight. We research the best value available flight and give you the details of how to book. All quite straightforward.

If you prefer to find your own flight and fly out separately to everyone else, that's not a problem. You are very welcome to meet up with everyone else in the resort. This is sometimes useful if people are visiting relatives en-route or going on somewhere else afterwards. It also means you can depart from a convenient airport of your choice, should you wish to do so.

Our experience and contacts in the travel industry mean we are often able to find you a really good deal, often cheaper than you might be quoted elsewhere.

It's usual to pay for the flights on credit card or debit card. After you have booked your holiday with us, we'll tell you when to go ahead and book your flights.

All prices are subject to availability. Prices may rise if you don't book soon enough and some holidays may sell out. To avoid disappointment, we recommend that you BOOK EARLY, 6 - 9 months ahead being ideal, but at least 3 - 6 months ahead of departure if you can, giving us enough time to be able to organise the group holiday properly.

Holidays vary. Some are just small groups of 2 - 20 people. Others are much larger groups - in the past, we have had as many as 54 people travelling together. Whatever the number, it's always lots of fun!

Social Group Holidays was founded by our Managing Director Andrew Haglington. Andrew holds a B.A. (Hons) degree in Environmental Studies & Geography, and has been all over the world, so you can rely on the fact that we know what we are talking about. BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE

Our Terms & Conditions make it clear that if we cancel anything, the principle is that we will offer you a full refund. This ought to be pretty obvious. We have always taken great pride in making sure we are thoroughly honourable with offering full refunds if we are not able to run a holiday - we wouldn't dream of doing otherwise! So please bear in mind, you can trust our reputation for high quality and rely on us.

When you book a Social Group Holiday, you can always book with confidence!

The only time people don't get a refund is when they withdraw from a holiday themselves and cancel their own places. If this does happen, because of illness or something like that, people simply claim on their own travel insurance to recoup their money, so this isn’t usually a problem.

All participants who take part on our foreign holidays will need at least six months left on their passports at the time of travel.

Everyone is required to take out travel insurance as soon as the holiday is booked.

SOCIAL GROUP HOLIDAYS are open to everyone. Participants do not have to join The Social Group socialising organisation to be able to take part in the holidays.

However, we do give a discount to current Social Group members.
